Harris Street

A Hamptons-inspired haven

A classic character Queenslander has undertaken a serious upgrade to become this Hamptons-inspired haven. Designed with a family-friendly lifestyle in mind, the Harris Street project combines aesthetics and function to create a space that is both welcoming and beautiful.

Bowler Street

Contemporary finishes with old-Queensland charm

The team at Black Developments will never shy away from a challenge, which is why we were thrilled by the opportunity to rejuvenate this classic Paddington Queenslander. The aim was to keep the original character and charm of the home while adding a twist of modern finishes and details, while working around the tricky foundations of a 690-square-metre sloping block. A 10-metre-long custom glass roof and impeccable blackwood veneer joinery are just some of the standout features on this impressive project.

Larissa Street

Mid-century Palm Springs modernism

This high-set house located in the quiet outer northern suburbs of Brisbane has made quite the impression, with its distinct style earning it the 2018 AIA Brisbane Regional Award. Typical of its style, the primary upper floor living areas were disconnected from the yard, whilst under the house was not at a legal height for habitable rooms – challenges our team wholeheartedly took on. This is an exciting new house design for inspiring clients, with decorative brick, hovering roofs, light-filled spaces and mid-century Palm Springs modernism colliding in Geebung, Brisbane.

Crase Street

Every conceivable luxury

Perched amongst rolling hills and lush greenery of New Farm, Crase Street is modern living at its finest. This project was the result of the combined dream of Matt and Caitlyn Lancashire alongside Channon Architects. The house showcases the shared determination for excellence between its owners, designers and builder.

Bennison Street

A bold concept

Personifying a bold and modern style, this two-storey split-level home is set to truly stand out from its neighbours. The striking Shaun Lockyer Architects-designed project is currently underway on Bennison Street in the character precinct of Ascot.

Ashmole Street

Unique and architectural with an industrial edge

Black Developments has combined design and quality construction to create this stylish dual-storey statement house in Camp Hill. With its cooling north-east aspect to the rear, a wide 20-metre-plus frontage and commanding facade with modern architectural lines, this home’s street presence is second to none. Unique, architectural and with an industrial edge, this home was designed and built to the highest standard.

Alexandra Road

Spacious and refined

Once complete, this Alexandra Road project will be a shining example of how visionary design and high ambition have the power to transform a space. Shaun Lockyer Architects has come on board to turn what was once a 12-bedroom boarding house into a true architectural masterpiece.

I was fortunate enough to have collaborated with Tim and his team through the construction of our award-winning project ‘The Honeyworks House’. Tim’s attention to detail and craftsmanship were second to none. Tim’s passion for building and his commitment to high-quality hands-on service for his clients made the construction process easy and enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending Tim and Black Developments for future projects.
